This morning, PlayStation revealed July’s free lineup of games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. The titles released this month are NBA 2k20, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Erica. Starting July 7, players can download these titles for free until August 3.
First, NBA 2k20 is last year’s installment of the popular basketball sim. It includes an open world “neighborhood” with a personal basketball court.
The second game, Erica, is a “feature-length cinematic experience” in which players must uncover a mystery surrounding the death of the titular character’s father. The game is fully acted and live action. The player controls Erica through dialogue options in a similar way to games like Her Story.

Finally, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 YearCelebration is a fantastic game to pick up for fans of the action adventure genre. The game is currently sitting above an eight on Metacritic with both user and critic reviews. You play as Lara Croft as she makes her way through Siberia. Originally, the game was an Xbox exclusive and was only released on PlayStation in 2016.
This edition of Tomb Raider includes the game’s DLC. “Blood Ties” allows players to explore the Croft mansion to find a hidden secret. “Nightmare” is a classic zombie survival mode, and “Endurance” allows you to play co-op with friends.
As a ten-year celebration for PlayStation Plus, the service will be releasing a free theme later this month.
Also, if you haven’t picked up last month’s free PlayStation Plus games, they’re available to download until July 6. June’s titles were Call of Duty: WWII and Star Wars Battlefront 2.
