The new game that has had the temporary title of Project Athia has finally been given an official name, Forspoken. The latest gameplay trailer was shown off at the Square Enix event. In this trailer we follow a young woman named Fray through a beautiful yet threatening world. Fray is shown hiding in a destroyed building from a huge dragon. She is displayed having some sort of magic or mystical powers which allow her to launch herself through the air to travel and use energy blasts to fight monsters.

From the looks of the trailer, the game appears to be set after the destruction of a lot of the planet as we see destroyed modern-day buildings. Forspoken looks like it will be an open-world game as the trailer shows Fray moving across an open plain while she uses her abilities to swing past trees and towers as well as leap over rocks to traverse the landscape. The world looks both beautiful and dangerous and like a definite joy to explore. Have a look for yourself- Forspoken Teaser.

Forspoken will be coming in 2022 and so far we can confirm the game will be available for play on PC and PS5. Check back periodically throughout this year for more details.
